Men on heels / anti domestic violence movement in UK. (photo: isu.edu)
To those of you that still don't know, my upcoming novel is totally anti domestic violence, that's why I enjoy so much talking about these amazing anti domestic violence movement acts that I read about almost everyday! So this time, I'm going to talk to you about men on heels! How often do we see men on heels? Well, maybe not that often out in the public, lol, but check this:

According to halifaxcourier.co.uk, Men will be encouraged to walk on heels as part of the anti domestic violence movement! The invitation comes directly from The White Ribbon Campaign UK and it's all going to happen on Saturday, November 12! What a headline maker ladies and gentlemen. I can't wait to see a picture of what it might be one of the top anti domestic violence movements ever! The men on heels will use as a starting point The White Swan at 11am, then they will go around the Hebden Bridge, and finally, they'll make it all the way back to The White Swan again!

All the proceedings will go to the Mytholmroyd-based charity, which runs campaigns against domestic violence all over the UK. For more information about this anti domestic violence movement, email: [email protected]

Legal corporal punishment is becoming a joke in Florida.
Did this title disturb your mind? Well it should not do so 'cause last Friday an appellate Florida court ruled corporal punishment as an acceptable way to punish your children when not used in excess (Read more)! The ruling cites common law and a 2002 Florida Supreme Court  that says that reasonable corporal punishment can be used against anyone who tries to charge you with domestic violence! Don't worry, just say in court that you didn't do it in excess and you'll be fine, if that is your case. It's going to be fun to see how many more abusers will keep getting away with domestic violence. Great news! Oh wait a minute. That's not so great news. Well guess what? Now you can spank a child non excessively anywhere in Florida and even show other parents how to do it! So parents in Florida: you're welcome to non excessively spank, and punish your children physically anywhere around their bodies but not in excess and even in front of their friends (I think), so remember that! You won't be charged with domestic violence even if your child feels excessively humiliated and will obviously also be emotionally affected for the rest of their lives. Seriously Florida: what's next? Oh, I hope the ruling also states that it's totally legal to take pictures of parents spanking their kids and post them online. Sick.

Manny Ramirez arrested for domestic violence.
Manny Ramirez got arrested for domestic violence yesterday in Florida! What really happened between Manny Ramirez and his wife? Well, here's the Manny Ramirez domestic violence story:

Allegedly Manny Ramirez slapped his wife in the face. Apparently it 'caused her head to  bump against the bed headboard. TMZ reports that Manny Ramirez and Juliana were arguing in their bedroom when Manny Ramirez struck the left side of the face of Julianna. And that's how she ended up getting her head hurt when she hit the bed headboard. Julianna immediately called the police, and once the cops arrived to the scene they noticed that Manny Ramirez wife Julianna had a small bruise on the back of her head, and that her face was red and swollen. Of course, there are two sides of this story. Manny Ramirez claims that he shrugged his wife's shoulders, and once he did it, she hit her head against the headboard. Who is lying here? Manny Ramirez was  charged with misdemeanor battery. Now, if Manny Ramirez gets convicted, he could actually be facing up to one year in jail. Surprised? Check out the Manny Ramirez domestic violence police report. Check out also all of my domestic violence postings:

Heather Morris photo shoot 2011 on domestic violence with Tyler Shields.
Now, this photo shoot can be interpreted in so many ways! However, having seen the work of Tyler Shields before with other stars such as Lindsay Lohan, I've got to say that I'm sure he's got no intentions of offending any domestic violence victims. As a matter of fact, I personally think that this domestic violence photo shoot serves as an inspiration to domestic violence victims by delivering a very special message: being a domestic violence victim will not take your beauty or strength away! Tyler Shields is just random as he can be, I wouldn't misinterpret any of his projects, I think he's extremely  talented and I'm glad that he is getting recognized more for it every day! Check out more Heather Morris photo shoot with Tyler Shields photos below!

Amy Patterson, Florida missing teacher. (news-press.com)
Amy Patterson,41, the Florida missing teacher in Lee County that is now gone without a trace had been physically abused in her past and according to reports, Amy Patterson's boyfriend (former husband) Daniel Proctor is now seen as a person of interest. Daniel Proctor had been arrested in the 1990's for physical abuse (subject touched in my novel) against  Amy Patterson. Lt. Ryan Bell from the the Lee County Sheriff’s Office has allegedly not revealed as to whether Amy Patterson had filed a restraining order against Daniel Proctor before her disappearance. Daniel Proctor has not been arrested yet in Lee County, but officials sure have a lot of questions to ask him. The sheriff's office believe that he is now back in the Southeast of Florida after reportedly leaving the town following Amy Patterson's disappearance.
If you have any information that can lead to Amy Patterson's whereabouts please call: Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.

Russell Armstrong suicide - (From: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) photo: FilmMagic
So this morning TMZ (in addition to other sources) reported that Russell Armstrong suicide was described as the scene of Russell Armstrong being found hanging in his own bedroom at Mulholland Drive. People reported though that it was at his friend's house. Read the full story of Russell Armstrong suicide right here. Now what is behind the Russell Armstrong suicide? TMZ also reported that his wife Taylor had filed for divorce last July, and check this: she claimed that Russell Armstrong had committed domestic  violence against her (one of the main topics of Life is Like a Box of Chocolates: An Inspirational Novel). Is there a connection between Russell Armstrong suicide and his possible abusive tendencies prior to his death?

I found this really good thread on WikiAnswers. The thread answers the question: If an abuser commits suicide, does his/her partner should feel responsible? Check the responses here. In summary though, the answers reflect how there's a huge chance that an abuser commited suicide as another way of controlling his / her victim. But why would they do this if they're already going to be dead? Apparently some think that this is caused also as a result from the abuser's deteriorated mental state.

Check out this excerpt from: helpguide.org: Do abusers commit suicide?

Do abusers commit suicide?
Now I'd like to hear from you. Do you think that Russell Armstrong (if he was really an abuser) committed suicide as a result of a psychological disorder that could have been carried by any typical abuser or just because Taylor Armstrong left him? Maybe it was something else! Let's remember that an autopsy and toxicology test is still in process. What do you think about this case?

Unfortunately, death threats are a tool that an aggressor can use because he or she can't just accept that his / her spouse is seeking a divorce. The death threat concept can be quite similar when someone files for divorce due to death threats. However, they're both completely different. Let's take a look at both of these death threat / divorce cases:

Picture
Could there have been death threats from William Dembie? - ChronicleOnline
You won't believe this! Jail guard (corrections officer) William Levy was charged with domestic violence (subject touched in my novel) and murder for stabbing his wife to death last Thursday (according to this report).Shortly after the murder,  William Levy calls the authorities to confess his crime! His wife Holly Dembie was found behind his home. The saddest part of all is, that a 4 year old will not have his mother anymore and Midview Schools  will be now be also mourning the loss of a great, special needs children worker. Holly Dembie's aunt: Diedre Ashmun said that she wasn't unsure why William Dembie killed his wife but that in fact they were having marital problems. Diedre Ashmun also informed that Holly Dembie had been consulting a divorce lawyer and that she had confessed to her aunt Diedre that he was abusive to her. Due to the possibility that William Dembie was abusive to his wife before killing her, do you think that Holly Dembie could have possibly been a victim of death threats after husband learned about her interest in getting a divorce? Sometimes some people  just can't live with the fact that someone wants to divorce them and they're capable of doing anything, like you will be able to see in Life is Like a Box of Chocolates: An Inspirational Novel. Wait until you find out what the agressor does once he finds out his wife wants to divorce him.

Daniel Baldwin divorce / death threats case.
Now let's take a look at the Daniel Baldwin divorce / death threats case. According to dailymail.co.uk, Daniel Baldwin had filed for divorce after he claimed that his wife Joanne Baldwin had been attacking him with death threats. Now this death threats case is quite different from the one mentioned above because William Dembie had just learned that his wife wanted to file for divorce. What really happened in the death threats case between Daniel Baldwin and Joanne Baldwin? Now check this: the story doesn't end there. As many of you know, TMZ also reported recently that Daniel Baldwin went to court last Thursday to dismiss his restraining order! And there's even more to this alarming story: Both Daniel Baldwin and Joanne Baldwin filed the documents to dismiss the Daniel Baldwin and Joanne Baldwin divorce petition! This divorce and death threats case makes a lot of people worry more about this possible Daniel Baldwin and Joanne Baldwin reconciliation due to the fact there are even more details to this shocking story. The same day that Daniel Baldwin got a restriction order against his wife due to the claimed death threats, Joanne Baldwin  was arrested for violating her probation for driving under the influence. According to the reports, Daniel Baldwin expressed on his restraining order docs that his wife would scream at her children and throw objects around the house. He also claimed how she punched him numerous times, pulled a knife on him,  and how she even threw a phone on his face. Daniel Baldwin was granted custody of their children but now it seems like he wants to save his marriage. Do you think that he's doing the right thing? Do you think that Joanne Baldwin deserves another chance? Share your views!
